1. Pioneering

Knots, lashings practical ideas, from table top to Grand Canyon with a chance to have a go!

 

2. Fire lighting

Pyromania – safely; the best wood for the job, different fires and lighting methods, make a nice hot cuppa in a paper bag!

 

3. Back Woods Cooking

Cook a feast fit for a King without the usual pots and pans, gutting and skinning techniques, sweets to die for!

 

4. Outdoors and Wide Games

Fun games for 2 to 200+ in the open air, make best use of the venue, day or night, rain or shine!

 

5. Campsite layout and hardware

Pitch and learn about different types of tent, discuss and devise the ideal site layout, choose the best place for the loos!

 

6. Camp Gadgets

Wash stations to wellie stands, clothes pegs to French dressers, essentials at camp!

 

7. Tracking, orienteering, maps and compass

In the age of GPS and sat-navs get from A to B the Scouting way!

 

8.Knotting with a purpose

Learn how to tie knots, the best choice for the job, fun activities and challenging projects, get knotted!

 

9. Knife axe and saw

Safely work with these essential tools, how to maintain and store, have a quick whittle!

 

10. Lamps stoves and equipment

Discover the range and depth of equipment available for the 21st century Scout, light a tilly, keep your wick trim!

 

11.Shelter-building

Build comfortable dry shelters using a range of materials, the Ray Meers approach to holiday homes!
